Absolutely. We hold comprehensive Public Liability Insurance for both residential and commercial projects. At Tripod, Integrity is one of our core pillars—we don’t step onto a site unless every safety and legal box is ticked.
Yes. We offer free, no-obligation site surveys and detailed quotes. We believe in transparent pricing with no hidden "surprises" halfway through the build.
We are based in Hereford and primarily serve the city and surrounding areas, including Leominster, Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye, and the wider County region. If you’re a bit further out, give us a call—we often travel for specialist bespoke projects.
Will my property be a mess during the build?
We follow a strict "Leave No Trace" policy. Whether it’s stripping old tiles or sawdust from carpentry, we clear the site at the end of every working day. We use skip management and protective sheeting to ensure your driveway and garden stay as clean as when we arrived.
Do I need to worry about Planning Permission or Building Regs?
For most reroofs and internal renovations, you don't need planning permission (this falls under "Permitted Development"). However, if your project requires it—or involves structural changes like moving load-bearing walls—we can guide you through the process or work directly with your architect to ensure everything is "by the book."
How do you handle communication during the project?
You’ll have a direct line to the site lead. We don't believe in "ghosting" our clients. You will receive a brief update at the end of each day explaining what was achieved and what the plan is for the following morning.
Are your teams "in-house" or sub-contracted?
The core of our team is in-house, ensuring that the Tripod standards of Precision and Integrity are maintained on every job. For specialist tasks (like complex electrics), we only use a small circle of trusted, local Hereford partners who have been vetted by us personally.
A few slipped tiles or a minor leak can often be fixed with a targeted repair. However, if your roof is over 25 years old or showing signs of widespread structural wear, a reroof is often more cost-effective in the long run. We’ll always give you an honest assessment—if it can be fixed, we’ll fix it.
What types of roofing do you specialise in?
We handle everything from traditional pitched tile and slate roofs to modern flat roofing solutions like EPDM rubber. We also specialise in "maintenance-free" upgrades like dry verge and dry ridge systems.
Do I need to be home while you work on the roof?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the site and a power source if required, we can carry out external work while you go about your day. We pride ourselves on being clean, quiet (as much as a hammer allows!), and respectful of your property.
Can you manage a full room renovation from start to finish?
Yes. Our "total envelope" approach means we can take a room from bare studs to a finished masterpiece. We handle the carpentry, wall construction, ceiling work, and flooring, coordinating the project so you don't have to manage multiple trades.
Do you supply the materials for bespoke joinery?
We can work either way. We have access to premium timber and modern materials for doors and flooring, or we can install high-quality materials you have already purchased. During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss which option best suits your budget and vision.
Do you work on commercial sites or for landlords?
Yes. We have extensive experience with commercial fit-outs and property portfolio maintenance. We understand the need for minimal disruption to business operations and adhere to strict Health & Safety protocols.
What is your typical lead time?
This varies depending on the scale of the project and the Great British weather! For smaller repairs, we try to get to you as quickly as possible. For larger renovations or reroofs, we recommend booking a few weeks in advance.
